al hacer energes me tira estos errores:

hace un emerge --info y pasame la data que te tira... parece que tenes mal configurado el make.conf

oks cualquier duda contactate con nosotros. Además te paso un plus: http://gentoo-wiki.com/Safe_Cflags para que optimizes aún más tu máquina, fijate el tipo y modelo de procesador que tenes y agregá las CFLAGS correspondientes...

Cambia en /etc/make.conf lo siguiente:

CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4" por CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"

CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -pipe" por CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"

CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -pipe" por CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"

igualmente el problema radicaba en CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu-3.4.4" que lo especificaste mal, igualmente te pase la solución y además la optimización. Acordate que las CFLAGS y CHOST entre otras banderas determinan el funcionar de gcc en base a tu procesador...
También fijate después de analizar los parametros que pusiste en USE, ya que hay varios que capaz no necesites...
