No funciona 100%, pero hasta ahora (OS VIA) lo logrado por mahasmb, es lo mejorcito que hay. Luego de mucho buscar y experimentar ésta es su receta:


1.) Modificar xorg.conf (ver en rojo)

2.) re-instalar 'xserver-xgl' desde Synaptic.
3.) Deslogueaarse del sistema y volver a ingresar
4.) Habilitar los efectos de escritorio en System > Preferences > Appearance > Visual Effects
