Hola, tengo un problema que no se si se podra solucionar, he instalado un ubuntu 8.04 lts server, que va a tener funciones de servidor de ficheros para una red mixta windows y linux, todo ha ido sin problemas, y he conseguido crear un grupo en samba con una serie de carpetas compartidas, he creado los usuarios linux y sincronizado con los usuarios samba.

Es decir tengo n usuarios samba, que a la vez son usuarios del sistema.

en la primera instalacion los recursos compartidos tenian un guest acount, comun, con esto cualquiera que se conectara desde un windows, visualizaba los contenidos de las carpetas bien, y cuando creaba un fichero o carpeta , dicho fichero o carpeta se creaba con el usuario guest configurado.

La pregunta es la siguiente, puedo configurar samba para que no haya usuario guest, y que cuando cualquier usuario windows se conecte (usuario creado en samba) escriba como propietario, es decir que si el usuario agustin se conecta a los recursos compartidos y crea un fichero dicho fichero tenga un grupo comun definido para tal efecto, pero el propietario del fichero sea el propio usuario.

actualmente solo me ha funcionado si pongo un usuario guest, y todos los usuarios windows escriben en el disco como si fueran dicho usuario.

Es posible que cada usuario windows escriba como el mismo y no como un usuario guest comun?


Espero haberme explicado bien, por favor si teneis alguna duda comentarmela.

Bienvenido Agustín:
lo que necesitas es configurar correctamente samba.
De seguro estás utilizando el modo "share" para compartir y lo que quieres es que utilice el modo "user"

Posteanos por favor tu archivo /etc/samba/smb.conf
quítale las líneas con # y ; ya que no nos interesan los comentarios.

Hola, perdonar por la tardanza, sigo sin poder conectar al servidor samba, la autenticacion esta en user level, el grupo windows es "isbut", y los usuarios estan creados tanto en el sistema linux, como usuarios samba.

no me permite conectar desde windows a samba con un usuario samba, os adjunto la configuracion del samba a ver si me podeis dar alguna pista de como configurarlo bien.

como comentaba en el anterior post, lo que quiero hacer es que cada usuario que se conecte al recurso compartido SERVIDOR DE FICHEROS, se pueda conectar , crear, borrar, etc, (siempre que sea un usuario samba) y que esos ficheros se escriban con su propietario concreto, y su grupo concreto (grupo isbut , este es el grupo real de los usuario linux)

Hola, veamos por parte:
Tu archivo smb.conf aparenta estar en óptimas condiciones
Si tuvieras algún problema puedes correr: $sudo testparm para chequear la correcta configuración.

recapitulando: has creado los usuarios en linux (con useradd) y les has asignado contraseña (con passwd) ¿pero, le has asignado contraseña para samba?

usualmente se pone la misma que para el usuario en linux, pero el comando a utilizar es smbpasswd ya que samba utiliza un archivo extra para almacenar sus passwords.

utiliza este comando con un usuario y haz la prueba:
# sudo smbpasswd -a <nombre-usuario>
y cuando pida password asígnale la que ya tienen actualmente.

reinicia el servicio:
# sudo /etc/init.d/samba restart

Luego intenta conectarte a través de samba y nos cuentas

Hola, he rehecho las passwords de los usuarios samba para tener la certeza que son las mismas que las de los mismos usuarios unix.

Y sigue sin funcionar, desde un xp, exploro la red de microsoft windows, y llego al grupo de trabajo Isbut, y la la maquina "jarri" que es donde esta ubicado el servidor samba, y me sale una ventanita de peticion de autenticacion, meto el usuario y el password, y me dice "inicio de sesion no satisfactorio, compruebe el usuario y el password etc..."

No se que puede pasar....

a ver si me dais alguna pista mas...

sin duda no has olvidado reiniciar el servicio...

podes encontrar alguna pista agregando en la seccion [global] la linea

log level = 3

reinicia el server y proba otra vez. en el archivo de log habra mucha info util.
si eso no te aclara la cuestion, por favor postealo y lo vemos entre todos.

sigo sin poder conectar, he estado mirando en los logs y me da lo siguiente cuando intento conectar con el usuario agustin desde un xp¬:¬
(Perdonar por la extension del log, tengo loglevel a 3).

A ver si veis algo que yo no he visto. He puesto en negrita las cosas que creo que pueden tener algo que ver.

[SERVIDOR DE FICHEROS]
valid users = %S

proba con:
valid users = %D+%S, %S

o directamente comentala, asi queda con el setup de la seccion [Global]

en la misma red conviven freeBSD, GNU/Linux y Windows varios sin problemas:

Por lo que pone el log y si interpreto bien, está queriendo acceder con un usuario "agustin" del workgroup/dominio "jarri" y el servidor samba pertenece al workgroup "isbut"

Agustín, prueba usando lo siguiente:
cuando te pida usuario colocas: "isbut\agustin"
y luego la contraseña que has definido.
o bien "agustin@isbut" y la contraseña

Me supongo que samba está interpretando erróneamente y por eso está rechazando las conexiones.

claro...!! yo decia mas arriba que estaba teniendo problemas con valid-user :-)
en lo personal creo que el smb.conf de Agustin Cano es muy complicado innecesariamente,
por eso postee un par de configs alternativas. saludos....!!

Hola a tod@s, muchas gracias por vuestros mensajes, consegui configurarlo correctamente, aunque debido a tantos cambios no estoy muy seguro de que fue lo que esta mal.

os pongo la configuracion definitiva, que funciona como yo queria, que es que cada usuario se conecta con su user y password, y accede al disco compartido escribiendo sus ficheros como propietario y con grupo comun.
Creo que lo que me faltaba era meter el grupo comun en la configuracion.
Pero no estoy seguro.
