Versión Completa: Mostrar .exe en ubuntu. Editores Hexadecimales (solucionado)

Hola a todos, necesito ver unos archivos tipo .exe pero no se con que abrir los por lo menos mostrar los 1-smile e probado con el gedit pero me dice " gedit no ha podido detectar la codificación de caracteres.Compruebe que no está intentando abrir un archivo binario.
Seleccione una codificación de caracteres desde el menú e intente de nuevo."
e probado con la mayoria de ellos pero no ha funcionado. Que hago ?
